3 Things I Learned as a Graphic Design Intern

Collaboration and Teamwork

Working at Hueman Studio has shown me just how important teamwork is in the creative process. I’ve learned that great designs often come from a mix of different perspectives. Being able to brainstorm and receive feedback has taught me how to build on those ideas to create something even better than you originally thought. Overall, being in this environment has made me more confident in sharing my thoughts and working with others to achieve a shared goal!

Learning from Others

Another thing I’ve learned is how much you can grow in a short period of time just by working with talented teammates. Everyone on the team has their own strengths, and being around them has taught me so much. Whether it’s watching how someone solves a design problem or seeing their creative process, I’ve picked up so many new techniques and ideas that I probably wouldn’t have thought of on my own.

Asking for Help

Lastly, at Hueman Studio I’ve learned that asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness! It’s actually a way to grow. There have been times when I’ve been stuck on a project or unsure about how to approach something, and instead of trying to figure it all out on my own, I’ve learned to reach out to my teammates. What’s been so great is how supportive everyone is. Whether it’s advice on a design, a quick tip on using a tool, or just a fresh pair of eyes to review something, their feedback always helps me move forward.
