Website

The goal of the annual month-long national Homelessness Awareness Month campaign is to take a close look at many of the complex issues that construct the full story of homelessness and to raise awareness about homelessness. The website serves as a hub for all educational content and work HomeAid is doing across the nation during the month of November, from events, to blog posts, to donation drives. The website is updated weekly with fresh content that ties into a sub-theme and lives on for the entire year as the source for all education around homelessness.

 

Videos

The theme for this year’s campaign is “The Full Story”. Last year, there was a focus on the faces of homelessness. This year it’s not just about who, but also what contributes, why this is an issue that we all need to understand, and how we can all be a part of the solution to ending homelessness. The Spotlight videos are meant to highlight the real work HomeAid is doing around the nation. The Animations are meant to be bite sized educational videos that demonstrate why the battle against homelessness is so important.

The campaign encourages community members and corporations alike to share HomeAid’s mission and content to ensure everyone has a safe place to call home on social media. Branded social media templates were developed for HomeAid and their 19 affiliates to promote cohesive social media visibility.
