How to Create an Editorial Style Blog in Squarespace 7.1

Blogging is important for SEO and keeping in touch with your audience. Here is how you can create an editorial style blog that is easy to navigate.

1. Create a new page.

2. Add a blank section. Change the background of this section to be a branded background or image. In this section add a text block including an H1 title. You can additionally add a newsletter block allowing visitors to sign up to receive updates, or some topic navigation. Make sure your newsletter block is connected to your newsletter platform!

3. Add another section on top of the summary block section. Edit this section to be smaller than the previous one, and a different color. We recommend 2-3 rows. In this section add: a search bar block, a text block with your blog categories.

4. Add another section below the search block. To this section, add a “summary block” of your blog posts.
