3 Free SEO Tools to Increase Crawlability

1. Google Page Speed Insights

Google Page Speed Insights allows you to run audits that ranks your (desktop) website on 4 areas: Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, and SEO. The scores produced are out of 100. Performance relates to how fast your website loads up. Are there items on your website causing lags or prolonged loading times? The Accessibility score returns a number that is an average based on various accessibility tests. One thing to note is that the score relies on “pass/fail” for a page, which is why consistency and cohesive design is important. Best Practices is general web design best practices, and SEO refers to how crawlable your website is. PSI is a great way to identify weaknesses in your website and even offers descriptions on the problem areas and solutions.

2. Image Compressors

To improve website performance speeds, double check if the images on your website are optimized. If not, replace the images with compressed versions. There are a lot of free options for this. Two we like using are ImageCompressor and ILoveImg. We recommend images in 100-150kb size. You can check an image's size by viewing the image’s properties.
